Client Advisory Services (CAS) Intern

Part Time

 

Are you working toward your accounting degree and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, paperless environment? Price Page & Company is excited to announce an opening for an Intern Accountant in our Client Advisory Services (CAS) Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals to work closely with experienced professionals, develop their technical skills, and build meaningful client relationships. As an intern, you won’t just shadow—you’ll be trusted with real client work and supported by mentors who want to see you grow. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of industries, sharpen your technical skills in a modern, paperless environment, and build the foundation for a successful career in public accounting.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Process customer invoices, vendor bills, payments, and deposits
  • Support new vendor onboarding and W-9 compliance tracking
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and assist with month-end closing entries
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for review
  • Assist in preparing sales tax filings, payroll reports, and 1099s
  • Download and post revenue data from third-party platforms and banking sources
  • Apply knowledge across multiple clients and industries
  • Learn how to effectively communicate with supervisory personnel
  • May assist other team members as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in accounting or similar field
  • Strong proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new accounting systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a client-focused mindset
  • Prior experience in a paperless accounting or bookkeeping environment is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proactive and motivated individual who takes initiative for professional growth
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States upon hire

Government Audit Intern

You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of industries, sharpen your technical skills in a modern, paperless environment, and build the foundation for a successful career in public accounting.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the upload of trial balances, creation of audit workpapers, and preparation of financial statements
  • Reconcile client records to trial balance, potentially including analytical procedures
  • Understanding the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA
  • Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Perform audit procedures over cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, revenues, expenses, and other audit sections as assigned
  • Perform other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field

  • Prepare workpapers and client files for tax return preparation by tax professionals.

  • Use the firm’s equipment and software programs to prepare client files for tax return preparation.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting clients with audit preparation, reconciliations, year-end account balance review, and supporting schedules for external auditors
  • Supporting senior staff with implementation of GASB standards
  • Preparing State Controller’s Office (SCO) reports and other required regulatory filings
  • Assisting with drafting and compiling financial statements and disclosures
  • Performing basic research on accounts and reporting concepts
  • Work closely with Government Audit department to address client-specific needs
  • Learn how to effectively communicate with supervisory personnel
  • May assist other team members as assigned
