Osvaldo Gutierrez, CPA
Osvaldo was born and raised in Bakersfield. He graduated from Fresno State in 2008 and has worked in accounting ever since, though he officially became a CPA in 2014. Prior to working at Price Paige, Osvaldo worked for a regional public accounting firm and focused on government accounting and auditing, but has experience with auditing in a breadth of clients and industries. Osvaldo then worked in the private sector as an assistant controller for more than two years, where he continued to develop his accounting and management skills.
Osvaldo has been a member of the AICPA and CalCPA since the onset of his career. He has served on the board of the CalCPA Fresno Chapter and served as the Chapter President in 2021. Osvaldo went through the CalCPA Leadership Institute in 2015, which taught him valuable tools and skills that have allowed him to strengthen his leadership abilities. He also serves on various strategic and operational firm initiatives focused on growing and developing the practice.
Osvaldo’s work focuses on financial statement audits for governmental entities, Single Audits, and Internal Audit & Advisory Services, where he supports organizations in strengthening governance, controls, and operations.
Osvaldo treasures the people in his life, especially his family, friends, and coworkers. He has a passion for staff training and development and is always encouraging his colleagues in the pursuit of their CPA certifications—those who know him would say he is friendly and easygoing. Outside of work, he enjoys family time with his wife and daughters, firing up the BBQ, and playing some pick-up games of basketball!
FUN FACT: If Osvaldo weren’t an accountant, he would want to be a detective—which makes perfect sense, since he is an excellent investigator for our clients!
