Osvaldo Gutierrez, CPA
Osvaldo was born and raised in Bakersfield. He graduated from Fresno State in 2008 and has worked in accounting ever since, though he officially became a CPA in 2014. Prior to working at Price Paige, Osvaldo worked for a regional public accounting firm and focused on government accounting and auditing, but has experience with auditing in a breadth of clients and industries. Osvaldo then worked in the private sector as an assistant controller for more than two years and furthered his skills and expertise in accounting, management, and overcoming challenges.
Osvaldo has been a member of the AICPA and CalCPA since the onset of his career. He has served on the board of the CalCPA Fresno Chapter and served as the Chapter President in 2021. He is also the CalCPA Fresno Chapter leader and representative for the State-level Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, which focuses on the development and promotion of the accounting profession while maximizing DE&I engagement. Osvaldo went through the CalCPA Leadership Institute in 2015, which taught him valuable tools and skills that have allowed him to strengthen his leadership abilities.
Osvaldo treasures the people in his life, especially his family, friends, and coworkers. He has a passion for staff training and development and is always encouraging his colleagues in their pursuit of their CPA certifications—those who know him would say he is friendly and easygoing.
FUN FACT: If Osvaldo weren’t an accountant, he would want to be a detective—which makes perfect sense, since he is an excellent investigator for our clients!
